About Us

This house is a house of love, compassion and understanding. We maintain an open-minded and holistic approach while practicing and running this home, based on the 12-step program, providing a structured environment.  It’s very important that we all continue to grow and become the person we always have dreamed of being.  We both have experience in working in treatment centers and sober living houses and are certified Peer Support Specialist. We both took this same path, and  we understand the frustrations of becoming clean and being a productive member of society. We look forward to speaking with you or your family members and help bridge them into a life of recovery.

Essential Purpose Sober Living offers much more than just a place to rent a bed. It provides a program for individuals who are in recovery and seeking to rebuild their lives. These homes offer a structured and supportive environment, with access to resources and a community of individuals who are also on the path to recovery. This community aspect is invaluable as it offers a sense of belonging and support, which is critical for those in recovery. Additionally, Essential Purpose homes often offer educational and vocational opportunities, as well as life skills training, to help residents become self-sufficient and successful in their personal and professional lives. Overall, Essential Purpose provides a comprehensive program for rebuilding one’s life and creating a solid foundation for long-term sobriety.

Essential Purpose Sober Living understands that recovery is not just about abstinence from drugs and alcohol, but it’s also about rebuilding a fulfilling and enjoyable life. That’s why the organization hosts various fun events such as cookouts, community gatherings, and holiday celebrations for its residents. These events help to demonstrate that staying clean and sober doesn’t mean sacrificing one’s ability to have fun and enjoy life. By participating in these events, residents can build positive social connections and create new memories with like-minded individuals who are also in recovery. Essential Purpose Sober Living recognizes that these events are essential in promoting a healthy and well-rounded recovery, and it’s committed to providing opportunities for its residents to enjoy life in sobriety.

"Coming out of treatment, sober living was the next right move for me in my journey toward long-term recovery. With some direction I was introduced to Brandy at Essential Purpose and felt instantly comforted. She, along with the other women with whom I lived, helped my anxiety around the newness of life I was learning to live, by not only accepting me but embracing me. The combination of compassion and accountability I found at Essential Purpose went a long way in teaching me that growth and recovery are not linear and that my individual process was not something to be ashamed of, but in fact, something to be proud of. Recovery hasn't been an easy process for me and without the true love and support from Brandy and the women, I don't think I would've made it through some of the tougher times. Now with just over a year clean, I'm incredibly grateful for the life I have today."
